The Ground Truth Census is an independent research study run by Erfan Djazmi. He is the data controller for the information described on this page. Write to erfan@groundtruthcensus.com with any question about your data.
When you register to take part, we collect your name, agency, work email address and role. We record whether you want to complete the survey, sit a depth interview, or both, and whether you are open to being quoted by name.
When you complete the survey, we collect your answers along with the seniority level and agency type you report.
We process this data because you have asked to take part. You can withdraw at any time by writing to erfan@groundtruthcensus.com, and we will remove your details and your answers.
Your individual answers never appear in the report. Findings publish in aggregate, cut by seniority level and agency type. No person is named against an answer. No agency is named against a number. Groups too small to report get merged or held back.
Names appear only where you have agreed in writing to an attributed quote, and that agreement covers quotes alone. Your survey answers stay anonymous whether or not you agree to be quoted.
Your contact details and individual answers stay with the research team. They are not sold, and they are not passed to the companies who fund the study.
If you separately ask us to introduce you to a named company, we share only the contact details you give us for that purpose, and never your answers.
We use third party tools to run the survey and send email. Those providers process data on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes.
We keep contact details for twelve months after the report publishes, so we can send you the findings and tell you about the next edition. We keep survey answers in anonymised form as part of the research record. Ask us to delete your details sooner and we will.
This site sets one cookie to remember your choice on the cookie banner. Without it the banner would appear on every visit.
If you accept, we set analytics cookies that tell us how many people visit the site and which pages they read. That data is aggregated and does not identify you. Decline and no analytics cookies get set.
You can clear cookies at any time in your browser settings. The banner will then ask again on your next visit.
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to erfan@groundtruthcensus.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
If this page changes in a way that affects how we handle your data, we will tell registered participants by email.
